Ingredients list for Thai Hot and Sour Soup

  • 150 grams Boneless Chicken boiled and roughly chopped
  • 4 cups Chicken Stock
  • 2-3 Spring onion bulbs
  • 1 Lemongrass stalk 4 inch piece
  • 2-3 Fresh red chillies
  • 6-7 Button mushroom
  • 2 Kaffir lime leaves
  • 2-3 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnishing Few fresh coriander leaves

  1. Heat chicken stock in a deep non-stick pan.
  2. Slice spring onion bulbs, lemongrass, red chillies and mushrooms and add to the pan and bring it to a boil.
  3. Roughly tear kaffir lime leaves and add and mix well. Add tomatoes and mix well. Add fish sauce and tamarind pulp and mix well. Add salt and mix. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. To serve, put some chicken in each serving bowl, pour prepared soup, garnish with coriander leaves and serve piping hot.
