Ingredients for Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich - SK Khazana Recipe

  • White bread slices 8

  • Fresh cream 1 cup

  • Olive oil 150 millilitres

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Mustard powder 1 teaspoon

  • Medium yellow capsicum thinly sliced 1

  • Medium carrot peeled and thinly sliced 1

  • Medium red capsicum thinly sliced 1

  • Cabbage thinly shredded 1/4

  • Red cabbage thinly shredded 1/4

  • Butter as required

  • Cheese slices 2

  • Green chutney to serve

  • French fries to serve

Method

Step 1

Preheat a sandwich griller.

Step 2

To make veg mayonnaise, take cream in a bowl and beat it slightly with a hand blender. Add oil gradually and beat till well blended. Add salt, sugar and mustard powder and mix well.

Step 3

Take yellow capsicum, carrot, red capsicum, cabbage and red cabbage in a bowl. Add some mayonnaise and combine well.

Step 4

Apply butter on 4 bread slices, spread the vegetable mixture generously 4 slices. Place a cheese slice on 2 breads and cover all with the remaining bread slices.

Step 5

Trim the edges of the sandwiches without cheese and cut them into triangles.

Step 6

Apply butter on top of sandwiches with cheese and place them on grill toaster and grill till grill marks appear. Slice into triangles.

Step 7

Arrange the sandwiches on a serving plate and serve immediately with green chutney and French fries.
