Almonds, Go nuts this season

Almonds have been one of the most favoured dry fruits since ages. We have all heard those tales of eating badam every day for good memory. Our grannies would not miss a day making sure we have had our quota of badam. And here’s the thing, they are right! It contains antioxidant benefits of vitamin E which helps in increasing our retention levels and has been extensively associated with good heart heath. There have been endless rumours about almonds being a “fattening nut" but on the contrary, there have been many reads about them keeping you full for longer periods. They are lower in carbs and rich in protein and fiber. But, anything in excess is always damaging so make sure you include just the right amount of almonds regularly in your diets.

  • Any time, any day, anywhere: Almonds can be eaten any time of the day as they are super healthy and filling for you. Feeling hungry? Eat some almonds! It’s that easy and it can be packed with you in a tiny box and carried along wherever you go.
  • Losing some Kilos: Oh yes! These nutritious nuts are great for you to lose some weight. As they can be more satiating than other high-carb snacks. They won’t let you think about food at least for a while, which in turn makes you eat lesser than usual.
  • More for the Vegans: What more do you want? We have got almond flour, the gluten-free and the nutrient-rich nut flour. Try making some cookies or pancakes with them! They are low in fat and healthy for you.
  • Oil for all: Almond oil can be used in cooking; it makes an excellent moisturizer for your hair and skin. The oil can be used in baking, appetizing desserts and to add crunchy, nutty texture to cookies, biscuits and buns.
  • No to Cancer: Studies have proven that there is a reduced risk of breast cancer. Eating a handful of almonds will keep you away from the diseases you are the most scared of.
  • Dearest to our desserts: Almonds have been widely used for garnishing our super yummy desserts. They have been a part of our sweet plates forever. They add crunch to our soft mithais and looks mouth-watering when coated with them.
