Ingredients for Ande ka Halwa Recipe

  • Egg (anda) yolks 4

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Mixed nuts , chopped 1/4 cup + to garnish

  • Semolina (sjji) 2 tablespoons

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Khoya , grated 1/2 cup

  • Castor sugar 1/2 cup

  • Saffron a pinch

  • Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add mixed nuts and roast till fragrant. Add semolina, mix and roast for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

Beat egg yolks. Add vanilla essence, beat again and add to the pan. Keep stirring.

Step 3

Add khoya and castor sugar, mix well and cook till the mixture thickens.

Step 4

Add saffron and cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with mixed nuts and serve hot.
