Arrabiata Sauce Arrabbiata sauce, known in Italian as sugo all'arrabbiata, is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic, tomatoes, and dried red chili cooked in olive oil. By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Jun 2021 in Recipes Veg New Update Arrabiata Sauce Main Ingredients Canned tomato puree, Fresh tomato puree Cuisine Italian Course Gravies, Sauces and Stocks Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve as required Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup canned tomato puree 1/2 cup fresh tomato puree 1 tablespooon olive oil + for drizzling 1 tablespoon chopped celery 1 teaspoon red chiili flakes Salt to taste 1/2 teaspoon sugar 6-8 fresh basil leaves + to garnish Method Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add celery and sauté for a minute. Add canned tomato puree and fresh tomato puree and mix well. Add chilli flakes, saltand sugar, mix well and cook for 5-10 minutes or till the sauce reduces. Tear the basil leaves and add. Mix and cook for a minute.
