Ingredients for Atta Coconut Cookies Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 1 cup

  • Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup

  • Butter 1/4 cup

  • Castor sugar 1/2 cup

  • Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon

  • Semolina 1 tablespoon

  • Salt A pinch

  • Milk 2-3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180˚ C.

Step 2

Take butter in a mixing bowl, add castor sugar and beat together with an electric beater till light. Add vanilla essence and beat well.

Step 3

Add semolina and desiccated coconut. Sift together wheat flour and salt, add milk and beat well. Mix with your hand till well combined into a dough.

Step 4

Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into balls and flatten them slightly between your palms.

Step 5

Place them on a baking tray and lightly press a fork horizontally and vertically on each cookie to create a pattern.

Step 6

Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30. Remove from oven and cool.

Step 7

Keep them on a serving platter and serve.
