Ingredients list for Bajra Nu Bachku

  • 1 cup Bajra
  • 1/4 cup Split green gram
  • 1/4 cup Small grained rice (kanki)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste
  • 8 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Ghee

Method

  1. Combine bajra, moong dal and rice and grind them coarsely. Transfer into a bowl.
  2. Add salt, carom seeds, ginger paste, green chilli paste, buttermilk and whisk to mix well. Transfer the mixture into a pan and cook, stirring continuously till it reaches a thick consistency.
  3. Dribble ghee from top and serve hot.
