Ingredients for Baked Chocolate Apple Recipe

  • Red apples 4 medium

  • Chocolate chips to garnish

  • Sea salt to sprinkle

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 160º C.

Step 2

Slice the top and bottom of the apples and scoop out the flesh.

Step 3

Sprinkle sea salt and rub it uniformly inside the hollowed apples and place them on a baking tray. Chop the flesh.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick pan, add the chopped apple flesh and sauté till lightly cooked. Add coconut, mixed nuts and jaggery and mix well. Cook on low heat till jaggery melts. Switch off heat. Add green cardamom powder and cinnamon powder and mix well.

Step 5

Wipe the apples from inside with a tissue if they are moist from inside. Fill the nut mixture into each cored apple. Break half the caramel bars into small pieces and place on top, drizzle some rabdi. Repeat the process once more.

Step 6

Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Step 7

Spread remaining stuffing in deep serving plate and place the baked apples over it. Garnish with rabdi, chocolate chips and mixed nuts and serve immediately.
