Ingredients

  • Bombay duck (bombil), chopped and soaked in turmeric powder and salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoons coriander-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon mix masala
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Oil for shallow-frying
  • 2-3 tablespoons semolina (sooji/rava)
  • Onion rings for garnishing
  • Lemon slices for garnishing
  • Mint leaves for garnishing

Method

  1. Mix together Bombay Duck, coriander-garlic paste, mix masala, turmeric powder and mix well. 
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Spread semolina over a plate, divide the prepared mixture into equal portions, coat in semolina and shallow-fry till golden-brown and crisp. Turn over to the other side and shallow-fry till golden-brown and crisp. 
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate. 
  4. Garnish with onion rings, lemon slices, mint leaves and serve hot.
