By Sanjeev Kapoor 02 May 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Brown basmati rice, Rice bran oil Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 41-50 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Brown Rice Vegetable Pilaf 2 cups Brown basmati rice 2 tablespoons Rice bran oil 1 Bay leaf 2-3 Cloves 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 inch stick Cinnamon to taste Salt 1/2 cup Green peas shelled 2 medium Carrots diced 10-12 French beans chopped 1/4 medium Cauliflower separated into florets 6-7 medium Button mushrooms halved 2 Green chillies slit 100 grams Tofu cubed Method 1. Soak brown rice in four to five cups of water for one hour. Drain and set aside. 2. Heat rice bran oil in a deep pan. Add bay leaf, cloves, cumin seeds and cinnamon. Add drained rice and salt and sauté for one to two minutes. Add five cups of water. Bring to a boil. Add , cauliflower, mushrooms, green chillies and tofu. 3. Stir green peas, carrots, French beansand mix. Bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook till done. 5.
