Burnt Garlic Noodles

Garlic even when sauteed till well browned gives a wonderful flavour. Noodles cooked with chicken and burnt garlic. This dish is so quick to make, and very garlicky. This noodles is so simple to make.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiled noodles
  • 1½ tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil 
  • 2-3 spring onion bulbs, sliced
  • 5-6 babycorn, diagonally sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • ½ cup mixed capsicum strips (red, yellow and green)
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste
  • 1½ teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons diagonally sliced spring onion greens + for garnishing

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic and sauté till golden brown. Add spring onion bulbs and sauté for 1 minute. 
  2. Add babycorn, carrot strips and mixed capsicum strips and sauté for 1 minute. Add noodles and mix well.
  3. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and soy sauce, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons spring onion greens and mix well. 
  4. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
