Ingredients for Cajun Prawn Wrap Recipe

  • Whole wheat rotis 4 large

  • Small prawns ,peeled and deveined 1 cup

  • Cajun spice 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic ,chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Spring onion bulbs ,sliced 1-2

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Mayonnaise for spreading

  • Purple cabbage ,shredded 1/4 medium

  • Carrot , peeled and cut into thin srips 4 tablespoons

  • Cucumber , peeled and cut into thin strips 4 tablespoons

  • Tomato ketchup to serve


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and spring onion bulbs, mix and sauté for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add prawns, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and Cajun spice, mix and cook till prawns are done. Transfer onto a plate.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick tawa and warm the rotis and transfer them on a plate.

Step 4

Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on each roti. Put some shredded purple cabbage, 1 tablespoon carrot strips, 1 tablespoon cucumber slices and ¼ cooked prawns mixture in the center of the roti and roll.

Step 5

Wrap each roll in colourful tissue paper and serve immediately with tomato ketchup.
