Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Mayo Roll Recipe

  • Chicken breast , grilled and shredded 1

  • Mayonnaise 3-4 tablespoons

  • Spring roll sheets 8

  • Onion , finely chopped 1/2 medium

  • Purple cabbage , finely chopped 1/4 medium

  • Green capsicum , finely chopped 1/4 medium

  • Carrot , peeled and finely chopped 1 small

  • Red capsicum , finely chopped 1/4 medium

  • Garlic powder 1 teaspoon

  • Onion powder 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Processed cheese , grated 1/2 cup

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Cornflour/ corn starch slurry as required

  • Sweet chilli sauce to serve


Step 1

Take shredded chicken in a bowl, add onion, purple cabbage, green capsicum, carrot, red capsicum, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed peppercorns, salt, cheese and mayonnaise and mix well.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 3

To make each roll, put some chicken mixture on one end of each spring roll sheet, apply some slurry on the edges, fold two vertical opposite sides, roll till the end. Seal applying some slurry on the end. Keep them on a plate.

Step 4

Slide in the rolls into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Arrange them on a serving plate and serve hot with sweet-chilli sauce.
