Ingredients list for Chocolate Rice Crispies

  • 2 cups Milk chocolate , chopped
  • 4 cups Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
  • 1/4 cup Almonds , roasted and slivered
  • 1/4 cup Pistachios , roasted and slivered
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick pan, add puffed rice and roast lightly.
  2. Heat sufficient water in a deep pan, keep a glass bowl over it, put the chocolate in it and let it melt.
  3. Add almonds and pistachios to the puffed rice, mix and continue roasting for 2 minutes.
  4. When chocolate melts, stir till smooth, add butter and mix well.
  5. Lightly grease small paper cups and arrange them on a plate.
  6. Switch off heat and transfer the puffed rice mixture into a large bowl, add melted chocolate and mix well gently.
  7. Fill the paper cups with this mixture and let themcool down to room temperature. Keep the plate in the refrigerator and chill till set.
  8. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve chilled.
