Steam the yam slices for ten to fifteen minutes or till almost done. Cool and gently press each slice between your palms to flatten slightly. Heat sufficient ghee in a kadai and deep-fry on medium heat till golden and crisp. Drain onto an absorbent paper. Transfer onto a serving dish, sprinkle salt, white pepper powder, little lemon juice and serve hot.
