And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Cutlets of Kuttu Ka Atta Recipe

  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 2 medium

  • Kuttu Ka Atta 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Dry mango powder (amchur) 1 teaspoon

  • Green chilli finely chopped 1

  • Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tablespoons

  • Grated coconut 2 teaspoon

  • Roasted peanuts coarsely ground 3 tablespoons

  • Almonds 2

  • Cashewnuts 2

  • Raisins 4-5

Method

Step 1

In a combine together potatoes, kuttu ka atta, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut, peanuts, almonds, cashewnuts and raisins.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non stick kadai and deep fry the tikkis till golden brown.

Step 4

Serve hot with chutney.
