By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jan 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Dahi Chana Main Ingredients Yogurt (dahi), Chickpeas (kabuli chana) Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 7-8 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 1/2 cups yogurt (dahi) 1 cup chickpeas (kabuli chana), soaked overnight and boiled with salt 1 1/2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 medium onion, finely chopped 3 green chillies 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala powder Salt to taste A fresh coriander sprig for garnishing Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté for ½ minute. Add onion and sauté till it turns a light golden. Roughly chop green chillies and add along with ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add chickpeas and toss. Add yogurt and mix well. Mash a little with a hand blender and mix well. Cook for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Add salt, mix well, cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes. Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.
