Ingredients for Dahi Toast - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Hung yogurt 1 1/2 cups

  • White bread slices 8

  • Medium onion chopped 1

  • Medium tomato chopped 1

  • Corn kernels boiled 1/2 cup

  • Mixed coloured capsicums chopped 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Green chillies chopped 2

  • Fresh coriander leaces chopped as required

  • Butter for applyi to shallow fry

  • Green chutney as required

  • Cheese spread for drizzling

  • Schezwan sauce for drizzling

  • Nylon sev to garnish


Step 1

Take hung yogurt in a bowl. Add onion, tomato, corn kernels, mixed capsicums, salt, black pepper powder, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 2

Apply butter on 4 bread slices. Apply green chutney on them and spread some yogurt mixture.

Step 3

Similarly apply butter and chutney on remaining 4 slices and place them over the yogurt mixture, chutney side facing downwards.

Step 4

Heat some butter in a non-stick pan, place the sandwiches in it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown on both sides.

Step 5

Cut each sandwich into 2 triangles and place in separate serving plates. Drizzle cheese spread and schezwan chutney on top. Garnish with nylon sev and coriander leaves.

Step 6

Serve immediately with wafers.
