By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal), Turmeric powder Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Dals and Kadhis Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 6 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Dal Fry 250 grams Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 3 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 2 medium Onion chopped 1 teaspoon Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped 4 Green chilli finely chopped 1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped Method Cook green gram with turmeric powder and salt. Mash and keep aside. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onion, ginger, garlic and green chiillies. Sauté till onions are golden brown. Add cooked dal. Add sufficient water to adjust the consistency of the dal. Simmer for fifteen minutes.
