Dalia Porridge Dalia Porridge is a comforting, nutritious dish made from cracked wheat simmered with water or milk, often sweetened or spiced according to preference. By Sanjeev Kapoor 02 May 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Broken wheat, Milk Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 1-1.30 hour Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup broken wheat 1 cup milk 2 tablespoons ghee 5-6 seedless dates, soaked for 1 hour 1 tablespoon cashew nut powder 2-3 tablespoons honey 1 apple medium Fresh mint sprigs for garnish Method Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add broken wheat, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add 4 cups water, mix, cover the cooker and cook under pressure till 4-5 whistles are released. Open the cooker once the pressure is reduced completely. Keep the cooker back on the heat, add seedless dates, cashew nut powder and honey and blend to a coarse mixture with an electric hand blender. Add milk mix well and cook for a minute on medium heat.Transfer into serving bowls.
