This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Oct 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Milk, Basmati Rice Cuisine Karnataka Course Mithais Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Doodh Pak 4-5 cups Milk 3 1/2 tablespoons Basmati Rice soaked 1/2 tablespoon Desi ghee 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 7 tablespoons Sugar 1 teaspoon Charoli/chironji 8-10 Pistachios slivered 8-10 Almonds slivered Method Heat ghee in non stick pan. Bring milk to boil in deep non stick pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add rice to ghee and sauté till light brown. Add milk and mix. Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes.Add cardamom powder, mix well and cook till rice is done. Add sugar and mix well. Add charoli and mix and cook for 10-12 minutes more.Garnish with pistachio and almond slivers. Serve warm or chilled.
