Ingredients list for Gajar Dalia

  • 1/2 cup Broken Wheat
  • 1 cup Carrot peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • for garnishing Raisins 2 tablespoons +
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Roasted semolina (rawa/sooji)
  • 1/2 cup Castor sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add broken wheat and sauté till lightly browned.
  2. Add raisins and mix well. Add carrots and sauté further for a minute.
  3. Add milk and cook till the broken wheat is done. Add roasted semolina and mix well.
  4. Add castor sugar and mix well. Cook till the mixture thickens. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with raisins and serve hot.
