By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Green Chilli (Bhavnagri) Pickle Main Ingredients Bhavnagri green chillies, Mustard powder Cuisine Indian Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 0-5 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 600 grams bhavnagri green chillies, slited 1/2 cup mustard powder 1/2 cup split mustard seeds (rai ki dal) crushed 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 3 tablespoons red chilli powder 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 cup salt 1 tablespoon vinegar 1/2 cup + oil Method Remove stems and slit the green chillies. Put them in a big bowl. Add mustard powder, crushed mustard, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar, salt and vinegar. Mix well. Take a sterilized jar. Transfer the chillies into it along with the masala. Top it up with oil. Put the lid on and shake so that the oil gets mixed with the chillies. Let it mature for at least two weeks. Mix a few times while the pickle is maturing.
