Green Masala Fish Fry Fish darnes marinated in vibrant green chutney, coated with a crispy semolina-rice flour mixture, and shallow-fried to a golden perfection. By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Dec 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fish, Fresh coriander leaves Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients 1 medium Surmai fish, cut into darnes ½ medium bunch fresh coriander leaves + for garnishing 2-3 green chillies 6-8 garlic cloves Salt to taste 1 tablespoon lemon juice ½ cup semolina (rawa/suji) 1 tablespoon rice flour Oil for shallow frying ½ lemon for garnishing Method Grind together coriander leaves, green chillies, garlic cloves, salt and lemon juice with some water to a smooth paste. Take fish darnes in a bowl. Add salt and mix. Add ground paste and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes. Spread semolina on a plate. Add rice flour and mix well. Coat each marinated fish darn with semolina mixture. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Shallow-fry the fish, turning sides, till evenly cooked, golden and crisp on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
