Green Tomato Chutney This green chutney made with green tomatoes is as tasty as it looks. Green tomato chutney is an amazingly super chutney recipe that goes well with anything. By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Green Tomato Chutney Main Ingredients Green tomatoes, Apple Cuisine Indian Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet & Sour Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 12 small green tomatoes, chopped 1 medium apple 1 inch stick cinnamon 1 black cardamom 2-3 black cardamom 2-3 black peppercorns 1 medium onions chopped 3-4 garlic cloves Salt to taste ¾ cup cider vinegar ½ cup sugar Method Peel, core and chop apple. Tie together cinnamon, black and green cardamoms and black peppercorns in a piece of muslin cloth to make a potli. Place tomatoes, apples, masala potli, onion and garlic in a heavy bottom saucepan. Add salt, half the vinegar and one cup of water and bring this mixture to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for twenty minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the masala potli. Dissolve the sugar in remaining vinegar and add it to the mixture.
