Ingredients list for Guchchi Pulao

  • 10 Gucchi soaked morrel (guchchi)
  • 8-10 Basmati Rice
  • 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 8-10 Black peppercorns
  • 2 cups Vegetable stock
  • 1 cup Milk
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat butter in a deep non stick pan.
    Slice onions and add and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add bay leaf, black peppercorns and mix.
    Quarter button mushrooms and add and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Slice the guchchi and add.
    Drain and add rice and mix.
  4. Add vegetable stock, milk and salt and mix well.
    Cook till rice is done.
    Serve hot.
