Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Herb Crusted Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken sliced thinly 300 grams

  • Fresh breadcrumbs freshly crumbed 4-5

  • Fresh parsley chopped 2 tablespoons

  • fresh basil leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Paprika powder 2 teaspoons

  • Egg yolk 1

  • Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 tablespoon

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Place chicken in a bowl, add garlic, salt, paprika powder and egg yolk and mix well.

Step 2

Put breadcrumbs, parsley, basil, red chilli flakes and crushed peppercorns in another bowl and mix well.

Step 3

Coat chicken pieces well with the breadcrumb mixture and dust of the excess.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry on medium heat till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Serve hot.
