Idli Shashlik Idli pieces sautéed with molagapodi, skewered onto satay sticks with capsicum and onion cubes and served with green chutney. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Idlis, Butter Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Idli Shashlik 8 Idlis steamed, readymade 2 teaspoons Butter 1 teaspoon molagapodi powder 1 teaspoon Onion cut into cubes and layers separated 1 medium Green capsicum diced to taste Salt as required Green chutney Method Trim 2 opposite sides of each idli and cut into 4 equal pieces. Heat 1 teaspoon butter in a non-stick pan. Add idli pieces and sauté for 30 seconds. Add molagapodi powder, mix and cook for 1 minute. Heat remaining butter in another non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté for 1 minute. Add capsicum and mix. Add salt and sauté for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and cool. Skewer 1 capsicum cube, 1 onion cube and 1 idli piece alternately onto satay sticks till all the ingredients are used. Put some chutney in individual short glasses.
