By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura), Onion Cuisine Bengali Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 0-5 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jhaal Muri 2 cups Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura) 1 medium Onion chopped 1/4 cup Sprouted black Bengal gram (kala chana) boiled 1 small Cucumber 1/2 inch pieces 1 small Tomato 1/2 inch pieces 2 Green chillies chopped 2 tablespoons Roasted peanuts skinned 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons Mustard oil taken from a pickle for garnish Fresh coconut sliced thinly For masala 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak) 1 tablespoon Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon Chaat masala Method In large bowl combine puffed rice, onion, sprouted chana, cucumber, tomato, green chillies, peanuts, coriander leaves and toss to mix well. Add mustard oil and jhaal muri masala and toss again to mix well. Serve immediately garnished with sliced coconut.
