By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Apr 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Kaju Ussal Main Ingredients Cashewnuts, Oil Cuisine Indian,Maharashtrian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 2.30-3 hour Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 1/2 cups cashewnuts, soaked for 2-3 hours 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida 2 green chillies, slit 1/4 cup blanched green peas 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoons goda masala 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 1/2 cup scraped fresh coconut Coriander sprig for garnish Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida and green chillies and sauté for 1 minute. Add green peas, cashewnuts, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, goda masala, coriander leaves and scraped coconut, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
