By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Margarine, Vanilla essence Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 1-1.30 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Karachi Biscuits 1½ cups Margarine 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence 1 cup Powdered sugar 2 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida) ½ teaspoon Green cardamom powder 25 grams Almonds chopped 25 grams Cashewnuts chopped grams Pistachios chopped Method Take margarine in a bowl and whisk with an electric beater. Add vanilla essence and powdered sugar and whisk well. Add flour, cardamom powder, almonds, cashewnuts and pistachios and whisk well to make a dough. Wrap the dough in with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Dust the worktop with some flour. Transfer the dough and roll into a thick log. Trim off the ends and wrap the log with cling film. Freeze for 15-20 minutes. Preheat oven to 180° C. Unwrap the dough log and cut into medium thick roundels, place them on a baking tray, place t the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
