Lemon Baked Chicken The distinct flavour and taste of lemons make this dish oh so delicious This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Jul 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken on bone, Lemons Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 2-2.30 hour Cook time 1.30-2 hour Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Lemon Baked Chicken 750 grams Chicken on bone cut into pieces 2 Lemons for greasing Extra virgin olive oil 2 teaspoons + 2 tablespoons + 3 Medium potatoes peeled to taste Salt 1 Medium red capsicum 1 Medium green capsicum Juice of 1 lemon 9-10 Garlic cloves 1 tablespoon Green chilli sauce 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 1/2 teaspoons Black pepper powder to serve Salad leaves Method Preheat oven to 180ºC. Grease a baking dish with some olive oil. Slice potatoes and place in the greased dish. Sprinkle salt and drizzle 2 teaspoons olive oil on top. Put dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Roughly chop red and green capsicums and place these in a bowl. Cut lemons into thin wedges. Add lemon juice, garlic cloves, chicken, green chilli sauce, ginger-garlic paste, salt, pepper powder and lemon wedges to the bowl. Mix well. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil, mix well and set aside to marinate for 2 hours. Take the baking dish with potatoes out of the oven and put the marinated chicken along with lemon and vegetables on top. Place the dish back in the oven and bake at 180ºC for 1 hour 15 minutes. Serve hot on a bed of salad leaves.
