By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Reduced milk (khoya), Sugar Cuisine Indian Course Mithais Prep Time 3.30-4 hour Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Malpua 1/4 cup Reduced milk (khoya) 300 grams Sugar 30 grams Refined flour as required Milk to deep fry Ghee to garnish Pistachios crushed Sugar syrup 300 grams Sugar a few strands Saffron dissolved in 1 tablespoon milk Method Take milk in a bowl, add sugar, refined flour and milk and whisk well to make a smooth batter. Rest the batter for 3 hours. To make sugar syrup, take sugar in a non-stick pan, add 1 cup water and stir till the sugar melts. Cook further till the syrup comes to a boil. Add the saffron and mix well. Transfer into a bowl. Heat ghee in a wide mouthed flat-bottom pan. Pour a little batter to form a pancake. Pour hot ghee over it and turn over. When both sides are properly done, drain and immerse in the sugar syrup. Make more malpuas similarly.
