By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Jul 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mandeli fish, Salt Cuisine Maharashtrian,Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non-Veg Ingredients 24-28 Mandeli fish Salt to taste 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon lemon juice Oil for deep-frying ¼ cup cornflour/cornstarch ¾ cup rice flour ½ cup semolina (suji) 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped Green chutney to serve Onion rings to serve Lemon wedges to serve Method Remove the head of each mandeli fish, clean the gut and keep them in a bowl Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Take cornflour, rice flour, semolina, salt and coriander leaves on a plate and mix well. Roll the fish in this mixture slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
