By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Jul 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mandeli fish, Salt Cuisine Maharashtrian,Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Mandeli Fry - SK Khazana 24-28 Mandeli fish to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon Lemon juice for deep-frying Oil 1/4 cup Cornflour/ corn starch 3/4 cup Rice flour 1/2 cup Semolina (suji) 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped to serve Green chutney to serve Onoin rings to serve Lemon wedges Method Remove the head of each mandeli fish, clean the gut and keep them in a bowl Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Take cornflour , rice flour, semolina, salt and coriander leaves in a plate and mix well. Roll the fish in this mixture and slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
