Ingredients list for Masala Chai

  • 4-6 teaspoon Tea Leaves
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Chai masala
  • 4 measures Sugar Free
  • For masala
  • 1 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 4 Green cardamoms
  • 16 Black peppercorns
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg grated

Method

  1. Dry grind all the masala ingredients to a fine powder. Let it cool completely then sieve. Store in an airtight container.
  2. Use the masala as and when required to make tea. Boil three cups of water in a pan.
  3. Add tea leaves, milk, the powdered masala and Sugar Free and bring the mixture to a boil again. Boil for a couple of minutes. Strain and serve piping hot.
