By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Aug 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Hazelnuts, Gram flour Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Masala Hazelnuts 1 1/2 cups Hazelnuts 3/4 cup Gram flour to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder a pinch Baking powder 2 tablespoons Oil TO SERVE 1 teaspoon Chaat masala Method Place hazelnuts in a big bowl. Add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, garam masala powder and baking powder and mix. Sprinkle one fourth cup of water so as to coat hazelnuts with the masala properly. Add two tablespoons of oil and mix again. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. When moderately hot drop a few hazelnuts at a time, taking care that they do not form lumps, and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain and place on an absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala. Cool and serve or store in an airtight container.
