Masala Peanuts

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Black salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tablespoons gram flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

Method

  1. Take peanuts in a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, black salt, chaat masala, ginger-garlic paste and 1 tablespoon water and mix well. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Mix together gram flour, cornflour, rice flour and salt in another bowl.
  4. Dust the peanut mixture with 2-3 tablespoons of the flour mixture and mix well. Sift the peanuts to remove the excess flour mixture.
  5. Add the peanuts to the hot oil and deep-fry till crisp and golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Cool down to room temperature.
  6. Serve or store in an airtight container.
