Ingredients list for Moong Dal Cheela-SK Khazana

  • 1 cup + to sprinkle Sprouted green gram (ankurit moong)
  • 1 inch Ginger roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespo to sprinkle Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
  • for drizzling Ghee
  • For topping Onions chopped
  • to sprinkle Chaat masala
  • to serve Tomato ketchup
  • to serve Green chutney

Method

  1. Blend together green gram sprouts, ginger, cumin seeds, peppercorns, coriander leaves, salt and asafoetida with sufficient water to a smooth batter.
  2. Heat a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter on it and spread into a medium thick disc. Drizzle some ghee and top with some onions and coriander leaves, sprinkle some chaat masala and green gram sprouts. Cover and cook till the underside turns golden brown.
  3. Make more cheelas similarly.
  4. Serve hot tomato ketchup and green chutney.
