Mulled Wine Truffles Mulled wine truffles feature the essence of spiced wine, reduced to a concentrated form, perfect for winter indulgence. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Aug 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Red wine, Dark chocolate Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 2.30-3 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1½ cups red wine 1 cup dark chocolate, melted ½ cup fresh cream ¼ cup sugar 5-6 black peppercorns 2 inch cinnamon stick 2-3 cloves A pinch of nutmeg A pinch of all spice powder 2 orange slices Unsweetened cocoa powder as required Method Heat wine in a non-stick pan, add sugar, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, cloves and grate a little nutmeg. Add all spice powder, orange slices and let it come to a boil. Reduce the wine to ¼ its original quantity. Heat cream in another non-stick pan, add this to the melted chocolate in a bowl. Strain the wine mixture into the same bowl and mix till well combined. Refrigerate till set. Divide the mixture into small equal portions. Take cocoa powder on a plate and roll each portion it till evenly coated and further shape into a ball.
