By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole Wheat Flour, Refined Flour Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Namakpara 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/2 cup Refined Flour 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder 1/2 cup Ghee to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) Method Mix the two flours and baking powder. Add ghee and rub in with fingertips to get a mixture resembling breadcrumbs. Add salt and crushed carom seeds. Add sufficient cold water to make a stiff dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for some time. Sprinkle some refined flour on a flat surface and roll out the dough into a half-centimeter thick disc. Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a baking tray with a little oil and sprinkle refined flour on it. Cut the rolled out dough into diamond shaped pieces. Place them on the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for fifteen to twenty minutes. Serve hot or cool completely and store in an airtight container.
