By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Spinach Puree , Leftover Rice Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Palak Khichdi 1 cup Spinach Puree 3 cups Leftover Rice 1 teaspoon Oil ¼ teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 medium Onion finely chopped 1 teaspoon Garlic cloves finely chopped 2-3 tablespoons Boiled mixed sprouts 1 Green chilli finely chopped ¼ teaspoon Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Butter to taste Salt ½ cup Milk Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, onion and garlic. Mix and sauté till onion turns light brown. Add sprouts, green chilli, garam masala powder and red chilli powder and mix well. Add spinach puree, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add butter, salt and milk, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add rice, mix well and cook for a minute. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
