By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sambar Powder, Basa Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Pan Roasted Sambar Flavored Basa With Onions 2 tablespoons Sambar Powder 400 grams Basa cut into 1 inch cubes 20-25 Shallots sliced a pinch Sugar 1 teaspoon Crushed red chillies to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Oil 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 8-10 Button red chillies (bor mirchi) 10-15 Curry leaves a pinch Asafoetida Method Combine the sambar masala, sugar, crushed red chillies and salt in a bowl. Add the fish cubes and mix well and set aside for 15 minutes. Heat oil in non-stick pan, add the mustard seeds, button chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida and shallots. Sauté for two to three minutes or till the shallots are soft. Add the marinated fish and mix gently. Cook on medium heat for seven to eight minutes. Serve hot with steamed rice.
