By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Sep 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Full fat milk, Bay leaf Cuisine Bengali Course Mithais Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Payesh - SK Khazana 1 litres Full fat milk 1 Bay leaf 2 tablespoons Short grained rice soaked for ½ hour and drained 2 tablespoons Ghee 1/4 cup Cashewnuts broken 2 tablespoons Raisins 8-10 Fresh coconut slices 3/4 cup Palm jaggery chopepd Method Pour the milk in a deep non-stick pan. Add bay leaf and bring it to a boil. Add rice and mix well. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Heat ghee in a small non-stick pan. Add cashewnuts, raisins, coconut slices and sauté till the nuts are golden brown. Discard the bay leaf and add the fried nut mixture, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add palm jaggery and mix well. Cook till the jaggery dissolves completely.
