Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Peanut Laddoo Recipe

  • Roasted and peeled peanuts 250 grams

  • Jaggery chopped 100 grams

  • Ghee 1 teaspoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Put the peanuts in a blender jar and crush them coarsely.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add jaggery, mix and let melt. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Add cardamom powder and crushed peanuts and mix well. Transfer the mixture onto a plate, divide into equal portions and shape them into laddoos.

Step 4

Arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
