Ingredients list for Raw Banana and Sweet Potato Pav Bhaji

  • 2 Medium raw bananas boiled, peeled and grated
  • 2 Medium sweet potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 8 Pav
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 inches Ginger grated
  • 2 Medium tomatoes chopped
  • 1 sachet ( Tata Sampann Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1/2 cup Tomato puree
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Medium green capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 tablespo For topping Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • for garnish Fresh coriander sprig

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till the seeds change colour.
  2. Add ginger and sauté well. Add tomatoes, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add Tata Sampann Pav Bhaji Masala, mix well and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add tomato puree and mix well. Add raw bananas, sweet potatoes, salt and mix well.
  4. Add 2½ cups water, stir, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Add capsicum, 2 tablespoons butter, lemon juice and mix. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Transfer in a serving bowl. Top with a dollop of butter, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot with pav.
