Salted Caramel Brownies A simple brownie layered with chocolate mixture and salted caramel sauce. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Apr 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Caramel Sauce, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Salted Caramel Brownies 1 cup Caramel Sauce tablespoon Refined flour (maida) 1 cup + 1 1 teaspoon Sea salt 1 cup brown sugar/jaggery 4 Eggs for greasing Unsalted butter 1 cup + 3 tablespoons + 200 grams Dark chocolate chopped ½ cup Cocoa powder 1 teaspoon Baking powder a pinch Salt generous Method Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a shallow baking tray with some butter. Mix half the caramel sauce with the sea salt in a bowl. Transfer the remaining caramel sauce in another bowl. Add the brown sugar and eggs and whisk till light and fluffy. Melt the butter and chocolate in a microwave for a minute. Remove from heat and mix till smooth. Sieve together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in another bowl. Add the caramel sauce-egg mixture and melted chocolate and beat well. Spread evenly the prepared chocolate mixture in the tray. Top with a thin layer of the salted caramel mixture. Repeat the procedure till all the mixture is used up. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes. Remove from oven, cool and demould.
