Ingredients for Seafood Cakes Recipe

  • Crab meat tinned ½ cup

  • Shrimps chopped ½ cup

  • Indian salmon (rawas) boneless, chopped ½ cup

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Spring onion bulbs finely chopped 2-3

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh parsley chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Paprika 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Cajun spice mix 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Tabasco sauce 2-3 drops

  • Fresh bread crumbs 2-3 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 one-inch pieces

  • Olive oil for shallow frying

  • Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

Step 1

Take fish, crab meat, shrimps, onion, spring onion bulbs, garlic, mayonnaise, mustard sauce, parsley, paprika, green chillies, Cajun spice mix, salt, crushed peppercorns, Tabasco sauce and breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix. Add lemon juice and mix well.

Step 2

Divide the seafood mixture into small equal portions. Dampen your palms with some water and shape each portion into cakes.

Step 3

Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan. Shallow-fry the cakes, turning sides, till golden and fully cooked on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
