By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Nov 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Refined flour (maida), Milk Cuisine Other cuisines Course Breads Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sheermal-SK Khazana 2 cups Refined flour (maida) 3/4 cup Milk a few strands Saffron 1 tablespoon Castor sugar 1/4 teaspoon Screwpine water (kevda jal) 1/4 cup Ghee melted for greasing Butter Method Heat milk in a non-stick pan. Take saffron strands in a small bowl, add 2-3 tablespoons warm milk from the pan and mix well. Add castor sugar to the pan and mix till it dissolves. Put flour in a bowl. Add sweetened milk and screwpine essence, mix and knead into a soft dough. Cover with muslin cloth and set aside for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 240º C. Add ghee, knead again, cover with a muslin cloth and set aside for 10 minutes. Divide the dough into equal portions, dust with some flour and roll out into discs. Prick the entire surface with a fork. Grease a baking tray with some butter. Arrange the discs on the greased tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and brush with some saffron milk. Put the tray back in the preheated oven and bake for 3-4 minutes.
