Ingredients list for Shrikhand - SK Khazana

  • 4 cups Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar powdered
  • 7-8 Almonds cut into slivers
  • 8-10 Pistachios cut into slivers
  • A pinch of saffron soaked in 2 tablespoons of milk

Method

  1. Place a strainer over a bowl and line it with muslin cloth, pour the yogurt into it, tie the cloth and place a weight on top to drain the whey or excess water. Set aside in refrigerator for 6-8 hours to get hung yogurt.
  2. Pass it through a sieve to get a smooth texture and collect in another bowl.
  3. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
  4. Add almonds, pistachios and saffron milk along with saffron strands and mix well.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve chilled.
