Ingredients for Shrikhand - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Yogurt 4 cups

  • Sugar powdered 2 tablespoons

  • Almonds cut into slivers 7-8

  • Pistachios cut into slivers 8-10

  • A pinch of saffron soaked in 2 tablespoons of milk

Method

Step 1

Place a strainer over a bowl and line it with muslin cloth, pour the yogurt into it, tie the cloth and place a weight on top to drain the whey or excess water. Set aside in refrigerator for 6-8 hours to get hung yogurt.

Step 2

Pass it through a sieve to get a smooth texture and collect in another bowl.

Step 3

Add powdered sugar and mix well.

Step 4

Add almonds, pistachios and saffron milk along with saffron strands and mix well.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving bowl and serve chilled.
