Along with tea, after school or at a birthday party – snacks are every foodie’s ultimate favourite. Ingredients for Shrimp Cakes - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Shrimps washed 200 grams

  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated 2 medium

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 2

  • Malvani masala 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Rice flour 3 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Egg beaten 1

  • Panko breadcrumbs

  • Green chutney to serve

  • Lemon wedges to serve


Step 1

Take shrimps in a bowl, add potatoes, turmeric powder, green chillies, malvani masala, salt, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves and rice flour and mix well.

Step 2

Add red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a wok.

Step 4

Grease your hand with oil and take a portion of the shrimp mixture, shape it into a ball, slightly flatten it and make a hole in the center. Make more cakes similarly.

Step 5

Dip the shrimp cakes in egg and coat it with panko and slide them into hot oil and , deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Arrange the cakes on a serving platter and serve hot with green chutney and lemon wedges.
